Local Government Chronicle presents 3 days dedicated to guiding you through the complicated process of involving your communities in your day to day work.
Kicking off with a workshop devoted to participatory budgeting, this event promises to answer all your questions and provide you with tools, techniques and skills to make a difference in your organisation.
Following the workshop that will be facilitated by the Participatory Budgeting Unit, will be two full days that look deeper into the problems surrounding community engagement.
Day one explores the theory and legislation. Looking deeper into topics including the Duty to Involve and the Community Empowerment White Paper, you will gather the information you need to move on and expand the current work you are doing.
Day two looks at the practical side of community engagement. How can you successfully measure and evaluate your community engagement and how can you improve your established engagement techniques?
